Safety & Code
EW 101, Week 1

A foundational course covering electrical wiring fundamentals: safety, basic tools, and equipment.
- Students will have exposure to safety procedures while working with tools, switches, receptacles, lighting fixtures, disconnects, and panel boards
- Introduction to the NEC Code Book
Blueprints & Rough-Ins
EW 102, Week 2

This course provides knowledge of electrical symbols needed to interpret blueprints. Students will be able to interpret specific elements of a blueprint pertaining to electrical construction, all elevations, and various plans. Students will also learn the skills to wire a dwelling during the framing process.
- Basic understanding of National Electrical Code, build layout, take off, and request for change
- Practical application of installation in a dwelling
- Basic understanding of installation of device boxes, device wiring methods, and different types of light fixtures

Device & Component Installation
EW 103, Week 3

In this course, the students will learn and demonstrate their knowledge of overcurrent protective devices, receptacles, switches, and special application procedures.
- Basic understanding of installation of over-current protection
- Practical application of installations in wet and hazardous locations
- Arc Flash Training completion
Intro to Conduit

The course introduces conduit and the basics of commercial electrical wiring.

Load Calculations & Service
EW 105, Week 5

In this course, the students will demonstrate practical applications of advanced skills related to wiring load calculations in a dwelling.
- Basic understanding of load-center sizing, grounding, bonding, and breaker installation
- Practical application and installation of a panel board
- Load calculation for service
Electrical Wiring Practicals
EW 106, Week 6

This portion of the Electrical Wiring Program will allow students to actively demonstrate practical application of skills learned from the past six weeks.
- Written and hands-on final exam

Do I need prior experience to enroll?
No prior experience required. We start with fundamentals and build to job-ready skills through daily lab work.
Are tools provided?
Every student in this program gets a trade specific tool set.
How long is the program?
6 weeks, Monday through Friday, 7AM – 3:30PM. The schedule is intensive by design — that's what makes it possible to complete real trade training in 6 weeks.
What certifications can I earn?
Students have the opportunity to earn both OSHA 10 and Arc Flash Electrical Safety Training certifications as part of the program curriculum. Both are included in Tuition & Fees. Passing requires individual effort, but we give you every tool to succeed.
What is included in the total Tuition & Fees?
Tuition & Fees covers your program's tuition, trade specific supplies to get you set up, and all your learning materials.
Is the GI Bill® accepted?
